Functions:

  1. Takes charge of eliminating barriers, HIV and AIDS stigma, and discrimination and creates redress mechanisms at the national, local, and community level
  2. Reviews, updates and recommends policies to promote quality of life for PLHIV including their families, and significant others infected and affected by HIV and AIDS
  3. Develops an evidence-based framework in line with policy formulation on social protection, which includes Universal Health Care (UHC), Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Life Insurance Agencies, and redress mechanism
  4. Oversees the assessment of partners and stakeholders on good practices and gaps pertaining to social protection and redress mechanisms
  5. Reviews and analyzes consolidated data from PNAC member agencies and make appropriate recommendations to remove barriers, stigma, and discrimination
